The design team, led by Genus Landscape Architects, received approval from the City of Iowa City to move forward on the next phases of design for a major renovation of the Pedestrian Mall in downtown Iowa City. Improvements will include utility upgrades, functional and accent lighting updates, new paving, as well as a permanent stage canopy and performance area. Construction is expected to begin in 2018.
