Genus is on the lookout for a talented + cold hardy landscape architect(s) to join our studio in early 2021. While the larger goal is to find a good fit for our dynamic team with intent to grow roots, the short-term target is to provide support and leadership with delivery of top-shelf design for multiple significant long-term projects in the urban planning, healthcare and academic campus markets. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in all phases of design and construction. Efficient development of project documents, graphics and project leadership for a variety of project types should be something you’ve accomplished and can share with enthusiasm. Accuracy and completeness in documentation is critical and expected. Candidates should have experience and proficiency in software such as AutoCad, Civil 3D, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience managing fees, cost estimating and administering construction is highly valued. Last but not least – strong organization and communication are paramount.
Senior Project Manager / Firm Associate
This opportunity requires 5-15 years of experience in all phases of design and construction including construction administration and specifications. Ability to carry projects from start to finish…really, someone with principal potential; highly competent in design and graphics, able to multi-task, lots of field savvy, and adept in managing everyone from clients to contractors. We’re seeking someone who thrives on successfully carrying out responsibilities in a leadership position. Ability to redline drawings, as well as work within files is highly valued. Candidates shall understand how to define scope, manage budgets, coordinate schedules with complex teams, and oversee quality control. The successful portfolio includes experience with construction detailing and specifications, as well as design excellence. The senior project manager is expected to develop and maintain relationships with the Client and other Stakeholders and Consultants collectively with firm leadership. Demonstration of clear verbal, written, and drawing communication is a baseline requirement of this position.
