As founder of Genus, Brett has invested over twenty years of passion toward the planning and design of vibrant spaces for people across the Midwest. He brings a strong background in construction and project management, along with a keen sense of how to guide projects through complex site issues and approval processes without compromising design. Through past collaborations with renown architects, landscape architects, designers, and artists, his experiences provide Genus with a thoughtful approach to each design challenge. An Iowa State University graduate, Brett has practiced in a variety of office settings in Des Moines, as well as Boston, Massachusetts. Committed to making the most of time outside the office, he cherishes time spent keeping pace with his three young children.
