Dylan’s first experience with Genus was as an intern in 2007. Today, he helps the firm move projects from conception to completion with a focus on design excellence, social and environmental sustainability, client satisfaction, and the experience of the end user. He has a strong sense for design and detailing, while staying grounded in project budgets and arriving at a right-sized approach. His passion for the profession grows from his love for art, drawing, surmounting technical challenges, and leaving a lasting impact by designing spaces for people to enjoy. From growing up on an acreage in eastern Iowa to practicing in Des Moines, as well as New York City, he is equal parts rural and urban. He is learning the ropes as a new father and enjoys spending time with his growing family.
