Luke works with a strong passion for creating functional and captivating spaces that connect people with the landscapes around us. Luke’s journey with Genus began as an intern during his time at Iowa State University, and after graduating, he joined the team to contribute his skills and vision to the field.

Beyond just designing beautiful landscapes, Luke firmly believes in the integral role landscape architecture plays in nurturing functional ecosystems for flora and fauna. His vision of landscape architecture not only caters to human needs but also prioritizes the preservation and appreciation of the natural world.

Hailing from Rock Island, Illinois, Luke’s love for the outdoors started early, as he explored the diverse and captivating landscapes of the Midwest throughout his life. Drawing on his experience working with design-build companies and nurseries in both Iowa and Illinois, Luke has had a foundational introduction to the craft.
