JOB OPPORTUNITY | 2019 SUMMER INTERNSHIP

OPPORTUNITY
Located in the heart of Des Moines’ East Village neighborhood, Genus’ internship is designed to expose students to a collaborative studio environment, with particular focus on urban placemaking, material research, community planning and construction detailing. The selected applicant will participate in a 10-12 week internship beginning late May.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assignments will vary depending on the successful applicant’s skill set and aspirations. Typical responsibilities include project research, digital and hand graphics, attendance in meetings with registered landscape architects, design production, design workshops and construction site visits. Students must possess exceptional graphic, AutoCAD, and digital production skills.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Students pursuing degrees in landscape architecture are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is March 22, 2019 at 5:00 pm CST. JOB OPPORTUNITY | PROJECT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Genus Landscape Architects has an opportunity for a talented landscape architect to join our studio as a project landscape architect, with opportunity for position advancement.  We are seeking someone who thrives on responsibility, is a multi-tasker, can run a project from start-up thru close-out and understands how to detail projects in the Midwest.  Appreciation for design excellence and attention to detail is a must, as is a collaborative spirit. A minimum of 4 years of private practice experience and registration as a landscape architect are strongly preferred. Competency with AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite and SketchUp are requirements.
